"Though a relative newcomer to the scene, having made his recording debut in 2006, Saiz established a name for himself with 12-inches on Renaissance and remixes on Bedrock and Global Underground. Balance 19 is his first commercial mix, and manages to be both backward-leaning and forward-thinking: though it features all new material, the collection bears a theme of nostalgia. Saiz says one of the most important aspects of music is its "evocative power to send you back to your childhood or to a specific moment of your life," and he tries to create this experience by using old vinyl and cassettes to create a lo-fi aural feel, especially on the first disc. The second half is more beat-driven, tech house fare, but still follows this basic concept. "

Icke Wieder makes no attempt to rock the boat. Like Berlin Calling, it opens with a slow-winding guitar track and follows up with more overtly club-oriented material. In fact, the album's greatest weakness is sheer similarity to its predecessor. Percussion programming and samples seem to have been re-used on several occasions. The most obvious example is string embellished "Kleines Bubu," which employs the same hissing, piston-like hi-hat of 2008's "Train." Past that criticism though, there's not a great deal to dislike, at least for recently-joined fans.

"Street Halo" is (naturally) baked with static and melancholy, although the rolling synthesis around the bassline and momentary pause for impact prior to the kick's introduction suggests dancefloor considerations. "NYC" on the other hand, could have stood tall among the most pensive numbers on Burial and Untrue, its mass of swirling strings and patient garage beat evoking longing in London. "Stolen Dog" splits the difference by introducing a lick of synth melody and sharpening up the drums. Perhaps Burial's most heavily reproduced production attribute—pitch-bent vocals—feature often, chiming in around the upper octaves and conversing in their own indecipherable tongue."
